We were retained by a Japanese national residing in Japan to handle a family-related legal matter in Korea.

The client’s mother, a Korean citizen, had passed away, and we were requested to initiate inheritance renunciation proceedings before the Korean court.

Our firm — led by Attorney Heejin Seong — successfully completed all procedures without requiring the client to travel to Korea.

We have been receiving various case requests from foreign nationals residing abroad. In such cases, since clients cannot directly monitor the proceedings before the Korean courts, more detailed explanations and active communication are required.
